Orthopaedics and Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy II ​

By completing Orthopaedics and Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy II, students should be able to acquire the knowledge and skills for the management of musculoskeletal dysfunctions of the upper limbs and the spine, and to learn the contemporary developments of manipulative approaches to work-related or traumatic musculoskeletal disorders.

Neurological Physiotherapy

Neurological Physiotherapy helps students to equip themselves with the knowledge of the principles of neuroplasticity and motor learning, and to apply to the physiotherapy management of neurological dysfunctions.

Cardiopulmonary Physiotherapy and Pharmacology

This course introduces students to the pathophysiology with reference to medical, pharmacological and surgical management strategies for common respiratory and cardiovascular conditions specific to different age groups. Upon completion of the course, students are capable of adopting a clinical decision-making process in the identification of respiratory and cardiovascular problems, prioritization and implementation of treatment.

Healthcare and Society

This course aims to explore the relationship between health and society. It helps students to consider how structural factors such as social class, gender and race/ethnicity affect health as well as the reception and delivery of healthcare services.

Research Methods and Statistics

Students will be introduced of the basic research concepts, study designs, sampling and statistical techniques in this course. Students will also be guided to the procedure of writing a research proposal and the application of ethical approval.

Clinical Practicum III​

Clinical Practicum III focuses on physiotherapy care and management to clients/patients with musculoskeletal and/or cardiopulmonary disorders across lifespan.
